    [Dead] P2135dn emergency firmware?

has anyone been able to recover a machine (firmware update interrupted) using the Emergency Firmware procedure? I have done it on a larger TA machine & was hoping it was just as straightforward on this little printer, but no joy using USB or the SD card slot directly on board.
    thanks in advance!!

Did you format the SD card on a functioning P2135 printer, then place the extracted firmware on the root of the card? I would consider that your best chance of success. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The printer will set up a folder structure that is necessary. The hard part is finding a working machine to format the card, since a dead machine can't. =^..^=

It's in the service manual. It's quite simple though. In most cases you just insert the unformatted card into the SD slot. The machine recognizes it, then asks you if you want to format the card. There is also a function in the system menu to format an SD card. The last machine that I still regularly used SD cards was the KM-420i, and maybe the Saturn. The menu may have been re-organized since then. Just search: format SD card and you should find what you need. =^..^=
