The original must either be too poor quality, or the glass and mirrors need a check and clean.

That machine needs parts. The white lines and faint image quality all need fixing before you do the gray adjust.

Difficult to tell from those prints as they don't show the coverage well enough. Print some sky shots of each colour and we'll look at those. Definitely looks like you have poor black though

Replacing the parts, developer unit (s) should definitely help. I have had the same problem with a few of these units as well. Sometimes it has been corrected by performing the AC adjustment, drum refresh and developer refresh, developer calibration. I had to perform them each several times. The print quality improved and the machine was able to perform the auto gray adjust successfully

If you've cleaned everything really well, it will need both maintenance kits. The developer oxidizes & doesn't carry enough toner to keep the density dark. Those are way to light to pass, the machine isn't seeing what it should.
                  Hope that helps !

To be able to complete it, optics have to be clean, but more important - colors have to be aligned. Execute Color Calibration, following Color Registration and align them properly. Than it should work.

Its definitely the black thats causing the issue, replace black drum and dev and problem solved, a quick "cheat" is to get a black marker and colour in the black rectangles in the corner of the pages as thats what it looks at to start the process, if it cant see the rectangles it fails straight away.
