Re: Keep getting error code F234
An error is detected at the Image processing section. DDR2 memory check. A certain part of the memory may be faulty. The frequency of failure occurrence is dependent on the frequency of access to the faulty bit. The ASIC may be faulty if the memory is not. =^..^=1) Reseat or repl DDR2 memory: YS1 & YS2; 2) Reformat HDD U024 FULL; 3) Initialize backup memory U021; 4) Repl main PWB; 5) Repl HDD; 6) Retrieve USBLOG and contact SAD. If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

There was two tickets with this code on the q and a site, and both fixes pointed to the adf harness replacment. [ Taskalfa models ] There are no bulletins as i can see thus far.THE ONLY THING FOR EVIL TO TRIUMPH IS FOR GOOD MEN TO DO NOTHING..........edmund burkeComment

Re: Keep getting error code F234
Greetings all,
Not to dredge up an old thread, but I've got a 3051ci (166K) with this same issue. 0640 code (HDD) a week ago, so I replaced with a known working. U024 and U021 to no avail. Replaced the DDR2's with known working. FW update performed. I can print internal reports with no problem and customer can print to it fine. When copying from glass or DP, paper stops at Reg Roller, then jam and F214 or F234, so it's an image scan issue.
Sheesh, any further advice other than main pwb?
Thanks much,

Re: Keep getting error code F234
Check/reseat/replace DP relay PWB (mounted to MAIN PWB) and red SATA cable. Also possible ISC PWB problem (other end of SATA cable)."Being ignorant is not so much a shame, as being unwilling to learn" - Benjamin Franklin
