[Error Code] TASKalfa 3050ci with C-2103 Error

Good Day
The error code first showed up a few weeks ago.
At that time the firmware was updated and the developer units inspected.
I did note that there was a build up of toner in the developers. Did some cleaning.
I also looked over the KDAConnect trouble guide for this code and see that CYM developers might require replacing.
Machine is just over 3 years old and not a lot of volume. (300K total)
I am prepared to change out the developers but I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else might have had a similar issue.

As I had a callback Friday and see the code had come back I will change units this week.

As far as I can tell, there is no C-2103 code.

Maybe C-2102 or C-2203? =^..^=

Thanks for the reply Blackcat but there is a C2103 code for this product. It does have a trouble flowchart with the title developer motor
but as one of the suggested solutions changing the developer(s) is listed.

Unless you can detect one of the DV's being obviously bound up rotating the gear manually, I would go for the motor first and not the DV's. We have had a couple of these and they turned out to be the motor.

A simple test would be to unmount the developing motor with the plug connected, then watch to see if it runs in U030. It will detect a drive error eventually, but you should get 4 or 5 seconds of rotation before it detects the error. You might need an extra set of hands to start the sim. It's kinda hard to stand on both sides of the machine at the same time, simultaneously. =^..^=

FYI
I had a chance to go back to the machine today and it looks like the developer drive motor(s) are causing the code.
I did try new developers/drum units to test. I also used M-mode 30 for the motor drives and the motor(s) were turning.

Back to the drawing board.

you should have done a 089 first thing and see what each developer looks like. this would have been the first thing to do in the troubleshooting process this is a very common problem on these machines

I am changing out the DR-8505 unit when it arrives and will advise if this resolves the issue. (This Thursday)

Installed the new DR8505 unit and problem appears to be resolved. I must say the installation was quite straight forward.
