    Kyocera Taskalfa 5501i Water effect

    Hi guys,

Got a strange image quality issue on a taskalfa 5501i. When you print an image or solid background you can see a almost wavy watery kind of effect. Cant think of another way to describe it.
Already checked and clean drum and charge roller assembly, Replaced dev unit.

    Any suggestions would be great.

Without samples it sounds like the charge roller dots. You don't see it in regular text images. Print your 089 samples.
    Hope that helps !

The U089 Sample Set quite often does not show all quality issues. You'll need an image with 70% fill or greater to see the little ovals. Is it like this?:

This problem is caused by the developing unit.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
