    Re: FS-1120D, going crazy?

Now @100k the machine is spitting out a sheet with: "REPLACE MAINTENANCE KIT"
Did I made a mistake or what?

    Any help please.

Did you change just the drum, or the whole kit? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Only the drum unit Cat, since the waste box was full and the drum was showing lines.

Errr....... NO. That seems to be the problem. I believed that time that the chip on the drum unit would take care of that. What to do now?

so if an 1120d and 1300d are truly compatible machines, all i can say is the 1300d doesn't have a "maintenance kit" nor does the manual speak of any reset procedure

Do you plan on replacing the maintenance kit? =^..^=

Yes, Cat. After I replaced the drum unit only it is working well. Had to replace the take up system rollers too ofcourse. Don't know how long the fuser and developing unit will live. I just want to get rid of that message. Customer is nervous about it and I don't want to spend again on this baby.

Thanks JR2ALTA but it was (is still?) ejecting a page with a message to "REPLACE MAINTENANCE KIT". I want to get rid of that.

I think the message will depart when the machine sees the new units EEPROM chips. Like JRALTA says, I do not see anything about a PM counter in the service mode. =^..^=

No, it didn't. That's my problem. I replaced the drum unit @ 75k but than @ 100k the message came up.
