The fact that anyone would use an emailed scan rather than a calibrated chart is horrifying!!

Today when i opened the forum i am wondering about this very old case and the content.
I am even more surprised about all the inquiries for the scanner charts by email.
As I always say:
Because they don't know what they're doing!

FYI:
Sending from ChartA by email is nonsense!

Why, is easy to explain:
Diff. colors are printed on the ChartA and afterwards measured with a spectral color potentiometer.
The measured values are stored in the small barcodes at the trailing edge.
These data are called Lab values.
The system now scans the colors and read the Lab values.
Now system compared the own Lab values with the real data
Finally the system then calculate new own Lab values.
Visible by U425 afterwards.

Scan from this chart, send by e-mail, the recipient then prints it out and uses it for color matching, we do not have a match between the barcode values and the now existing colors.
Scan failures, wrong color printing and so on....
It end up with garbaged values.
Take a look to the explanation from U425 which data are behind.
Additional we are running automatic adjustments for the table and DP scanning.
Magnification in the sub scanning direction / Leading edge timing
Center line / chromatic aberration
Sub scanning chromatic aberration /
MTF correction
Input gamma in B/W mode
Maybe someone has heard something about color management.
U411/ ChartA adjustment is one component from internal system color management.
ChartB i do not use, i prefer to run U411/ [DP Auto Adjust] after standard drawer would adjusted by U034.

Why are the ChartAis so expensive?
Each ChartA is unique, each ChartA is measured afterwards and the individual values are then glued onto the chart with a sticker.

I have the same issues but I don't have the test charts to correct it.
In Uganda twe don't have the charts. Most people just replace engine board which is so expensive

Anyone Selling the charts? And how much?

Ive uploaded the below version. Its a fraction of the filesize (2mb). But it was the only way I could get it up. It might work...
