    Konica Biz-hub 223

    Does anyone have any info on replacing paper feed / separation tires on this machine. Does the unit need to be pulled first and is it done from the right side of the machine or thru the cassette area? We replaced the developer , drum unit and fuser unit on time required by maintenance, but this got me stomped as we do not have any info on this machine as far as disassembly goes.

      I suppose a person with small hands might be able to reach in through the cassette port, but I never could. The entire pickup assembly comes out through the right side. That's the way I've done it. Earlier KM's were well known for having the most difficult feed tires to change. When I was in class on this model my lab partner was a newbie, and spent half a day messing around with the feed unit. I've never seen one disassembled that far before (or since). =^..^=
      If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          Actually both paper feed assemblies for tray 1 & 2 are removed from FRONT of machine. Remove paper trays then each feed unit has 2 screws and connectors in front and will come right out.

          Unlike the prior models Bizhub 200/250/350 which only tray 1 was removed from front and tray 2 was removed from side, now both trays on Biz 223 series come out from the front.

          Best to get the service manual and follow the easy instructions.

                      Sorry! I miss, it's toshiba 223, not Bizhub 223
