Greetings all. I have a 4501i giving a C7301 error.Checked toner hopper unit motor and developer unit in Maintenance Mode , all was well.I tried original developer unit and toner hopper unit in a working machine and no issues.I replaced toner hopper unit, Front PWB as suggested by Service Manual. No joy. The next step is the Engine PWB. Need some advice as to what else should I check before replacing Engine PWB.

The machine that I worked on had a bad piezo sensor on the toner hopper. But it sounds like you've covered that possibility. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

check the connector were the hopper assy plugs into on machine, I had one with a bent pinComment

After checking the pins , if no joy, try doing MM 021 as a Hail Mary. This once worked for me.Comment

Thanks for all the helpful advice. In the end it really was a bent pin where the toner hopper plugs into. Straighten it back and all is well. Thanks again.Comment
