    Taskalfa 255c won't print color

Machine says ready to print, and if you touch the 'full color' button, it gives the message that only black is available. Doesn't say anything else. Just that only black is available. I'm trying to find an Operator's Guide online and at Kyocera but no luck yet. Can anyone help please?

Could it be out of color toner? Or due for color maintenance? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Totally agree with Blsckcat! The machine is set to print/copy only in BW if a color toner is depleted. Print a status page and see which color toner is at zero, print a maintenance report and check where the color page count is against the PM.

How well do you know the customer? Maybe they turned on user restrictions and you're in a "public" b&w mode

Negative on both. Was displaying 'Replace MK (A)' which I installed and reset per instructions, and it showed no problems, plus the message went away. But it did not restore color copying. As far as toner, I'm just guessing it would give an indication to that effect, but like I said, it's not saying anything about anything now. And Status Report shows all colors close to full.
I'm going after color copying accidentally getting locked out by one of the users. Anyone had that or something similar? Or any other thoughts on it? Thanks a lot.

Yes thank you. Sounds like something like that is going on. Could you tell me more because there is a lot of information about this in the User's Guide. I see 'Restricting the Use of the Machine' (page 9-67) where this could have been done. Can you tell me if that's what I want, or can you explain further? Thanks a lot.

Go to system menu, user login/job accounting, job accounting setting, job accounting (local) and check the list of users for restrictions. Even add a new user for yourself with no restrictions for testing and future servicing.

Okay all it was was... resetting the PM counter (U251). Fixed it. I woulda thought resetting the MK-A would have taken care of that, but didn't. Thanks a lot to all who responded.
