Machine says ready to print, and if you touch the 'full color' button, it gives the message that only black is available. Doesn't say anything else. Just that only black is available. I'm trying to find an Operator's Guide online and at Kyocera but no luck yet. Can anyone help please?

Re: Taskalfa 255c won't print color
Could it be out of color toner? Or due for color maintenance? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Taskalfa 255c won't print color
I'm going after color copying accidentally getting locked out by one of the users. Anyone had that or something similar? Or any other thoughts on it? Thanks a lot.Comment

Re: Taskalfa 255c won't print color
Yes thank you. Sounds like something like that is going on. Could you tell me more because there is a lot of information about this in the User's Guide. I see 'Restricting the Use of the Machine' (page 9-67) where this could have been done. Can you tell me if that's what I want, or can you explain further? Thanks a lot.Comment

Go to system menu, user login/job accounting, job accounting setting, job accounting (local) and check the list of users for restrictions. Even add a new user for yourself with no restrictions for testing and future servicing.

Re: Taskalfa 255c won't print color
Okay all it was was... resetting the PM counter (U251). Fixed it. I woulda thought resetting the MK-A would have taken care of that, but didn't. Thanks a lot to all who responded.Comment
