    [Misc] KM3530

Customer has to shut copier off periodically in order to print not sure how often. I did witnes that it wouldn't print when a test page was sent. After clearing print que and resetting print cable it would. Did try another print cable and thought that was the problem however customer says copier still has the problem. I'm not an IT guy just copier. Most customers have their own IT Guy and this customer's IT Guy says the issue is with the copier. I plan on trying another print card. Could the problem be in the network??? If so where??Thanks!!!

I have seen this with an IP conflict. The copier was set to the same IP address as their NAS.

I seem te remember reading a bulletin on this while looking up another issue, the fix is a fw update to resolve this.

I would update the driver & firmware then ask customer to monitor.

Have you printed the event page from the unit to see what code is sent when the unit can not print? We have had a number of cases where the user is trying to print a webpage that is malformed and causes the machine to hang. Usually it is an F248 code. Clearing the print job from the offending computer allows the machine to continue with the other print jobs. As long as you have the firmware updated and the latest KX driver, I would suspect that what ever webpage they are trying to print is malformed. Had one a few months ago where the same user was creating a print queue error because they were trying to print pics from a porno website, of course no one would admit to trying to print from the website. Miraculously after informing the users the problem disappeared.

I had a failing HDD once cause the FalconI to drop off the network occasionally. The good news is that the HDD may fail completely soon, removing all doubt. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Remove the network cable, and try to do copies. I deal with these machines everyday. Usually is somebody messed with settings on their network.
