Kyocera TASKalfa 406ci - front door open message

Had a TASKalfa 406ci with a bad toner motor (what a pain the take apart). Replaced the motor and put it ALL back together and now I have a front door open message.

What wires to check and what to look for (going to have to take it all back apart I guess).

I haven't even had the pleasure of downloading that manual yet. Typically though the front door switch cuts the 24vdc to the HVT, to make it more difficult for some nut with a length of coathanger to electrocute himself. Personally, I think that Darwin's Law applies here.

Hopefully you just left a connector unconnected. If that same 24vdc is shorted to frame ground somewhere you can get exactly the same symptom, and possibly a blown power supply too. =^..^=

    How about this?:

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
