    I agree with the transfer belt

    You know ... I had one of these transfer belt assy's apart for a broken gear in the cleaning unit. When I re-assembled it I missed one of the spring electrical connections at the front left of the primary belt unit. I got very similar bars like this. Then I noticed the spring just setting there in the paper clip pocket.

    I wonder if that's important? =^..^=

    I am in the belief that it's the transfer belt. This model has issues with it

    It's still something black. Take a look at the drum ground or other charge contacts. You can apply conductive grease to the drum ground.

    Do you have side voids where the bar crosses the page? The scanner creates voids even when there aren't any. If the the bar crosses the side voids it's charge related. =^..^=

    try stopping the paper in mid cycle and you can see what device is causing the problem

    looks like it could be charge roller in drum of maybe pick pawl has gouged the fuser roller.

    black drum/charger? black dv?
    try swap drum/charger to another color position
