I took the controller board off and the power supply board off to see about getting to the exit gears. When I re-installed the copier comes up with "ready to copy" for about a second then goes to "Please wait" Having a ton of trouble finding info on the. I tried to re-install firmware through the usb an it won't do the firmware update. I ran a Maintenance page through U000 and the copy came out blank.. Any help would be very appreciated... Thanks

Re: Ecosys M2535 "Please Wait" stays on LED
Been there and done that. Something got missed or plugged into the wrong connector. The only thing to do is take it back apart and start over being careful to get everything plugged in and into the correct connector. -

I'm thinking that you didn't reconnect something correctly.
If it were me I'd re-do everything I did the other day, except re-connect that one thing correctly. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: Ecosys M2535 "Please Wait" stays on LED
If you removed the main board, there are two Flex cables that you would have to re-install. Make sure that upon reinstallation that one of the lands [circuits] did not get dislodged and is now not making contact with the connector's pins. We have found that these flex cables can very easily have a land de-laminate from the cable. I would remove these flex circuits and check the ends of the cable to make sure a land has not dislodged. Also as others have suggested make sure all the connectors you removed are seated properly, have had cases where the connector appears seated only to discover that a little extra push results in you feeling the connector seat properly and unit starts working. In my case with my fat fingers, I use a jeweler's screwdriver or a spring hook tool to make sure the connectors are fully seated. Hope this helps.Comment

Re: Ecosys M2535 "Please Wait" stays on LED
Thanks, I just checked that. Looked ok, No missing contact on strip. I reinstalled the Control board twice now and checked every connection with the manual. I did have the USB connection on the main board switched with the scanner motor on the scan PWB. Thinking at this point I fried the controller board. Maby missed a ground when power up... I also went as far as to change both power supplies (used). No change.... Guess I need a control board....Comment
