    3552ci C7109

machine showed C7109 (black drum EEPROM failure)
after hours of being mislead and trying every board and wire harness, it turned out to be the Cyan DV unit had failed throwing this error which should have nothing to do with cyan at all.
just a warning to hopefully save you some time if you get the error and replacing the drum does not fix it.
We know a thing or two because we've seen a thing or two.
    The medication helps though...

    Synthol,
I've seen ur post on Konicaminolta forums, and know what I hane most experience on Konica's and was looking for some help on Kyocera's found your post and curiously opened it to find it for the Kyocera also.
Coming to main point, as I mentioned I work on the Konica's, sice last 13 years and have have good grip on these. Just to mention we have a large quantities of off lease machines imported from US and EU markets. I was looking to put hand on the Kyocera's as many machines are available at cheaper rates but carry with them their problems, main one is the corrupted firmware due to power failures or fluctuations, main models available here are TA 420 to TA 820 and them TA 3500 series, 3501 series TA 6500, 8000 and many more between and after them. No one is providing services for these models and sold machines are lying dead, mostly because of corrupted firmware, so visited today copytechnet looking for some help ....
    So...anybody ....

Thanks for sharing. I'm imagining it was a long, twisted road to the solution. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
