    CS-4035, Fuser issues...

Hey guys.. customer had a damaged upper roller and opted to have the whole Fuser replaced, which I did with an OEM unit.

Now, the fuser is throwing C6050/6000 codes, and the toner is not fusing to the page.

I ordered a new Fuser (warranty) to replace, but it comes with a Firmware Update in the box. Could this non-fusing issue have anything to do with my not setting the right setting (Service Mode) for the fuser? (and how would I know WHICH Fixing Unit this is, or should be?) Or is the Firmware update it's asking me to do be really important to proper fusing temperature?

It's asking me to update to 2FG2391MY, which I don't know anything about what to do.

    Thanks in advance!

firmware is always important. go in to sims and reset 163 1nd 167 I believe. this will reset the counter for the fuser and should reset the 6000 codes. is it doesn't make sure you have good connections on the back of the fuser. firmware instructions are in the manual and you down load the firmware from Kyocera's web site

      Not that important.

Did you turn off the printer when you changed the fuser? Did you connect all the connectors? Is fuser pressure applied? Have you cleared the error in U163? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I have found a (very) old bulletin stating that the setting for "new" fixing units should be "Fixing Unit 1".
