    [Misc] noise in fuser

Has anyone had any problems with the new 2 series machines developing a whining or squeaking noise in the fuser units, I have had to replace several recently and just replaced one that lasted 20 days and only 5k on it, I've checked the tech bulletins, only found one for exit unit noise, nothing for fuser noise, at this rate it's going to get expensive, any help would be appreciated

if they are new, they are under warranty. we have had the 02 series make noises and thumping. replaced under warranty with no issues.

It can be hard to tell if the fuser or the exit assm is the problem. We have replaced both in units only to have the noise return. Finally I just started to oil every shaft, bushing and idler gear in exit units and found the noise dose not return. but check your warranty on these units, we have claimed it on all fusers and exit units and have gotten the warranty

The squeaks that I have cornered have been in the exit unit, lower idler roller shaft. After over an hour of running every motor I could, as I was writing up there came a very small squeak, squeak, squeak, when idling. Customer described as horrible noise. They also insisted that the machine had been completely silent when idling up until recently, which I know is not true. It is not in silent mode. It only goes to prove that you can believe less than half of the observations provided by the enduser. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Change to silent mode at setup.
