Re: KM5050 random faint gray line
If these are copies, I would suspect that there is some lint on the optical mirrors or slit glass. The movement of the scanner can make dust bunnies move around. Also a dry scanner rail can cause a mirror assembly to tip slightly, presenting the dust bunny at just the right angle.
The image content looks like internal reports, but you could very easily use internal reports to scan off of the glass or through the document feeder. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: KM5050 random faint gray line
How is that removed, through the front or from the left side?
I am going back with a new developer unit today so I can look at that part as well.Comment

Re: KM5050 random faint gray line
Replaced developer unit and cleaned dust collector still have line.
Is it possible for laser to cause this?Comment

Re: KM5050 random faint gray line
Laser? Unlikely.
I think I would very closely examine the area around the drum for fibers dangling onto the drum surface. I've found fibers stuck to the grid, statically attracted to the drum blade, or stuck to the upper developer seal ... really anywhere within reach of the drum. These fibers can be very very fine, and nearly impossible to see.

5050 paper path is simple as they come. With a clean machine and new OEM parts and supplies there cannot be this defect. Are you on site or one of your techs? Something doesn't add up.
Maybe the paper has defects from factory?Comment
