[CQ] 356ci new machine, Magenta everywhere!

    Hey all,
I have a new 356ci that has less than 200 on the meter, machine ran fine during testing and after delivery, but a week or so later, customer calls about magenta on the whole page. I swapped drums, no change, inspected dev, contact plates, springs for transfer belt. At first I was thinking high voltage board, but then I covered part of the laser window with paper and the area that is covered is not affected, so now i'm leaning towards the LSU. Anyone else run into something like this on a brand new machine?

    Thanks,
    MNTECH

for some reason I cannot upload these 2 pictures, so I will post links. The 2nd picture is with the laser glass partially covered.

There were codes for failed registration (can't remember exact code) but I assumed this was due to the high coverage of magenta.

I'll double check connections at laser and engine.

Looks like a laser issue to me.

Reseating connectors might help but I doubt it.

I like your diagnostic method. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Replacing the laser unit solved the problem.
