Re: CS-5050 - crumpled/folded jam above fuser
Sorry guys I'm really not following you on what you're saying? I would laugh or most likely agree with you, but I'm not seeing what you're talking about. I've attached more pictures if you see something I'm not seeing please let me know. Also, I've only worked with (3) CS-5050's in my life time.. I do not do this for a living, but enjoy trying to help others. Again, thanks for your help!Attached Files- 20190130_181939_resized.jpg (762.7 KB, 30 views)

Is the spring attached on the left side?

The blue circled area shows the unbroken protrusion and the red circled area shows where that has broken from the other end. Blackcat posted a picture of a way to field repair that damaged part.

Like he said. There should be a small 3mm stub at each end of that guide. What you need is proper spacing, which you're not getting if that stub is gone.
It doesn't have to be a shoulder screw, but it spreads out the impact a little better if your enduser really slams the door hard. Just predrill and thread a hole all the way through the guide the thread in a screw to the correct depth. You can use a little superglue to keep it in that position, or a locknut would work if you don't overtighten it. Please look closely at the picture that I posted. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
