    M4132idn pulling in envelopes

I have the bypass marked as Media type envelope & size as envelope #10. All trays are set to auto inch & plain. I thought the issue was driver related, as it is set to media type plain in printing preferences. If there are evelopes on the bypass, it pulls those in first. Even when I go into print the maint reports in U000 or through the system menu, it pulls the envelopes. All trays are functioning. This unit doesn't have 906 & I checked to see if enable reapaired unit is in the system menu, but it's not. The default cassette is 1 in the system menu.
It has 1.03 & I'm updating it to 1.04 tonight through KFS, but there is nothing regarding this in the release notes.
If I remove the envelopes, it pulls plain paper in fine, as it should.
I've run out of ideas. Any input appreciated.
    Hope that helps !

I don't know this model but on at least earlier models had a setting in the printer settings called something like "MP tray priority".

System Menu > [Printer] MP Tray Priority
If paper is set in the MP Tray then it is possible for priority to be given to that MP tray in the paper feed.
      Value
Off: The printer driver settings are followed.
Auto Feed: If Auto is selected in the printer driver and there is paper in the MP tray then the paper feed will be from the MP tray.
Always: If there is paper in the MP tray then the paper feed will be from the MP tray regardless of what is set in the printer driver.

IIRC, you can exempt specific trays from Auto Paper Selection from the web interface. Though honestly, the selection of Envelope media type should prevent your occurrences. Is the media type default in the print driver set to "Any" or preferably "Plain"? I like the suggestion of MP Tray Priority.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

You guys were correct, someone changed the MP Priority setting to Always. I'm not really sure what use that would be, but changing it
resolved the issue. Thanks for the help.
          Hope that helps !

If it is set to always it doesn't matter what other settings are made, it WILL pull cardboard through the bypass tray, at least partway! A totally useless setting.
