Typically Scanning on a 300i is set up using SMB scan. Kyocera has a TWAIN driver for scanning as well on their site.

      Download Centre
That should assist with your scanning set up. Works reasonably well. Go to the utilities tab.

You really don't need a driver for it. Unless you install a twain driver. Why don't you just set up scan to email? But if you want Scan to PC .. With all the changes windows has made with the SMB protocol, the best way now is to install a small ftp server file and set it up that way. It will only take a few minutes.

when i worked on kyoceras a few years back i always used filezilla server to setup scan to pc. only issue i ever really had was whenever a customer would close it out. once it was opened again and running in the background it worked well. filezilla works well for those models and newer. the smb scan utilities worked for the older machines.

If you're unfamiliar with the process of configuring SMB or email scanning, it's often times easier just to install the Kyocera Print App from the windows ten store. It works in instances where SMB no longer does (thanks to M$ killing SMBv1 support) and the only downside is that you have to hit the "scan" button on the computer itself after placing the originals in the feeder/on the glass, so there's a bit of extra walking
