    Taskalfa 6052ci - disabled duplex

I have a TA 6052ci that constantly has a disabled duplex function. No big problem to reset the disabled function ( SM 906 ) but wondering if anyone has had this problem before and a fix. Already has the latest firmware and reloaded the firmware. Still happens.

    Thanks

Just for clarification, disabled for the ADF or disabled for the Engine?

I had an adf disabled for 2-sided yesterday with CIS codes about every month or so. I haven't investigated further yet.

Any "C" codes associated with this disabling ?

When rebooted after 906 reset, it finally came up with a C3210: CIS lamp problem. Had to reboot two times to get that to go away. Guess it has a lamp problem?

The CIS lamp is part of the CIS unit. We saw a lot of C3210 codes on Saturns. The most common cause was a failure of the CIS cooling fan, allowing the CIS to overheat. Were it me, I think I would change out the CIS cooling fan(s), ultimately hoping that the CIS is not irretrievably damaged by overheating. Then if it does return, I would change the CIS sensor. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

As long as the white roller is clean. It uses it for white reference, and will assume it's not lighting bright enough, if that roller is dirty.
              Hope that helps !

Had a similar issue that started several months after install. After resetting the code the copier would work for a couple of days to several weeks before coding out . Yes, I tried all the suggestions , but the final fix was replacing the CIS assembly.

                Cheers

on the older model... Saturns I think it was. duplex on DP disabled is due to it being too hot, not enough ventilation.

Havent done any kyocera lately, but I dont think they have change the fundamental design on the accessories.

                    just a thought.

Replaced the 'white' roller and so far so good. Upon inspection it appears to be a black roller with a white coating - dumb.
