We have a 3050 that will not consistently add toner. We go out look at it get it to work and then half way though the day it craps out. We've done a PM and replaced the dimms on the machine. I have read other forums that say there are brackets out of place. We can not seem to see anything that is out of place. If any one has come across this problem any help would be appreciated.
CS 3050 not adding toner

You can get this effect if your customer installs Type (A) toner for a Falcon II instead of the TK-719 for a Falcon III. The only difference is the drive coupler, which will not mate with the other type, or Copystar to Kyocera, or vice versa. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Does the machine say "Image Cycle" constantly and then go "Add Toner"? If you hear that frequent clicking sound (solenoid), then you might want to check the drive belt (horizontal) on the back lower right part of the machine. I had a 2530 that stripped off part of the teeth on the belt and that caused the gears not to rotate the toner feed clutch.Comment

It's the right toner and it's Kyocera toner.
Now it does what aodtech said. No one has mentioned that though. I'll check that out and see what I come up with.Comment

I think that you may have missed my point. Kyocera toner (KM-3050) will not work in a Copystar (CS-3050).
Both are made by Kyocera, and the couplers are different. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:

toner box gear and machine gear are not engaging, gears making contact on outer edge and not engaging together, nail clipper will trim excess flares on edges.Comment

Yeah, it's either a mismatched coupler or stripped toner drive belt...But I'm trying, Ringo. I'm trying real hard... to be the Shepherd.

First of all, what kind of volume is the customer running along with what percentage of fill are they doing. If it does indeed go into Image cycle, I have had two of the following post from above and either one could be dead on. The Coupler one and the other with the teeth on the belt.Comment
