    [Misc] C8800 Error code DF7100 and 6002i

    Good Morning all,

we have two 6002i machines at the same customer with the internal finisher DF7100 fitted that appear to have the same issue.

we keep getting C8800 Main program error engine/DF. This however co-insides with the machine having a paper jam.
So customer has a jam then 1 or 2 mins later C8800.

    So far we have:
Replaced the complete finisher on one of the machines
    Update all firmware
    checked all terminals all ok.

The only thing we have not replaced yet is the engine pwb but I can see this being the problem on two machines and at the same customer?.

Has any of you had this or a similar issue before? resolution??

    All help appreciated.

    Regards

    Phil

The #2 solution in the book is firmware not up to date. Until you update the firmware with the latest version you are just chasing your tail.

The finisher does not make a good connection with the machine , you will notice the connector "floats" on the finisher unit. Pack this out with a washer to fix the connector and bring it slighly forward. Done this many times, the MOD dosen't work, try this.

Hi, we have already fitted the modified plates to the machines with no change to the error occurrence.

Maybe in your case you are still has bad connections from DF connector or maybe wrong fitted connectors on feed image pwb YC6 and/ or YC30.
