Kyocera M3540idn "no paper in cassette" error

    Hi Guys,

I have a Kyocera M3540idn in the field that is again showing "no paper in cassette" error. On a previous visit to the site, the user had not turned the size indicator on the cassette to the proper setting, according to what size paper was placed in the cassette. There was Letter size in the cassette, so I changed the "roller wheel" size indicator to LTR, which solved the issue.

Now the printer is again showing "no paper in cassette" error. Is there something I'm missing? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

are there 2 cassettes or just the 1? have you tried just replacing the cassette? that was always just a quick test i used to do was switch the tray with the second one or another tray.

There is only one cassette. That was my next plan of attack. I'm taking a spare printer, of the same model, with me to the site.

      Thanks for responding!

Does the paper lift or just "clunk, clunk, clunk"? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Take the tray out and look in the machine...you will find the add paper arm is out of position, its white and about 3 inches long. it is very common, it is attached to the duplex plate in the cassette opening
