    [Misc] Background operation panel

    Hi,

Don't know if this question already passed, but is there a possibility to personalize the background image of the operation panel for the Taskalfa series, for example the Taskalfa 2553ci?
You can choose some pre-defined pictures in the admin portal, but that's it. We would like to put our company logo on it....

    Thx advance for your help!

    Regards,

Froota, yes you can do this by creating the image and saving it correctly on a USB drive and installing it on the machine through maintenance mode U224. Basically you create a PNG image file that is 480x800 and save it with the correct name and install it at the machine. Below are the two main screens - Startup is the power on screen and Home Menu is the background wallpaper you see from the home screen; don't make it too busy or the icons will get lost. Most dealers will just put their logo on the startup screen.

    Startup screen
opening_ext_image.png (name of file - case sensitive)
    Length: 480
    Width : 800
    PNG

    Home Menu
    screen
menu_background.png (name of file - case sensitive)
    Length: 480
    Width : 800
    PNG

fyi i did it the way that was mentioned. and i noticed you said you want to use company logo. just be advised once you had a new one to it, you lose all of the others. then you basically have to create a new one. and the file name and size has to be exact in order to work. whenever i did it i was just testing the process. good luck.

Thanks for the advise, I've done this on a 5551ci and pressed the "Uninstall" button in the U224 screen. The original Kyocera home screen came back. I've not tried with our new xx53ci series... something to do tomorrow.

              Hi,

I also tried this out, and it works nice, thx for the advice!
If we need a more standard screen we will just create a full black one or something else, and problem is solved.

The only pitty thing is that the 8 buttons on the main screen can not be placed at random positions, they are just following the line from the top line to the 2nd line.
So you can not create a more 'free' space for example on the right side of the screen to place a logo there.

              Regards,
