My bet is the pipe assy that is blocked so the transfer unit cleaning is filled with waste toner that starts to build up on the transfer roller.

If it is on the backside of a single sided copy, I would look at the secondary transfer roller to see if it is not being contaminated by a toner build up.

I do not . It is a very light shadow so I don't think it will show up on a scan anyway .

paper in letter portrait direction shadow from top to bottom ( not lead to trail ) varies from 1/2 " to 1 " on lead edge on back side of single sided copies.
Not the drum or transfer belt .

Any suggestions ?, Thank you in advance
