    taskalfa 2550ci network

has anyone ran into this before and found a fix? apparently the network card is bad in the machine. the firmware is updated per the turbo pack from the current one on the website. also kyocera sent a new network card/ 2nd card as in the extra network connection when two network cards are needed. but that one isn't working either. i have tried using dhcp and i have set the IP to static. neither of those work. the main network card connection green light stays on regardless if anything is plugged in or not. the secondary/optional network card lights up red. thanks for any help.

does the status page indicate any link status?
Does the network switch at the other end of the cable indicate any link?
could there be POE power present on the lan outlet, and potentially destroying something?
has the outlet been tested using another device/laptop?

Please don't use "turbo" pack version for troubleshooting, it's ignoring sections with same version. Use Non-turbo version to force overwrite all subsystems.

Try connecting to your laptop via crossover cable. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Does the Mac address on the status page look normal, it should be something like 0017c8xxxxxx.
          Hopefully its not ffffffff...

You said that the embedded network connection and the optional IB51 are both not working, I would suspect that the switch/router the machine is connected to has a bad port. Can you use another network jack to test? Is there a working computer close by that you can unplug the network cable from and plug it into the machine to see if it works? It is highly unlikely that both the embedded network connection and the optional network board are both not working assuming you are using the same network outlet and have replaced the network cable.
