Do you mean the primary transfer belt (inside the main body of the machine), or the secondary transfer belt (on the door)? The primary transfer belt generally can remain untouched, paper dust is not an issue. The secondary transfer belt is also unaffected by paper dust, but you can watch that the belt remains centered on the pulleys, front to rear. There is a method of shimming the secondary transfer unit when installing a new one so that the belt remains centered. If the paper dust really bothers you you can use a Stretch-N-Dust or Swiffer (dust collecting cloth), but it will have no affect on the machine operation.

ONLY if they are old style charge units ... yes I clean them if I have the hopper unit off.
Do not clean new style charge units, only replace.
    This is the difference:

I think the thing that I appreciate the most is that you've been doing some reading, and are using the industry terminology. I'll help everyone that makes a reasonable attempt.

It's gets difficult to understand when I get: "you know ... that black plastic thingy on the right ...", Everything on a copier is a black plastic thingy.

    Congratulations on your success! =^..^=
I guess I didn't make my statement clear.. no scrubbies on rollers AT ALL.. on on wires and housing of the charge section. On hard rollers *PCR* in the drum use Nu Finish car polish.. apply and buff off.

Old thread I known but we fight hard with one of those.
Counts only 50k but what a bummer probably due to fake toners.

Yep, we don't use aftermarket toner, and don't have many issues with these at all.
        Hope that helps !

with aftermarket toner you get a lot of problems.
          Don`t touch it.
