genuine on with kyocera's. have had way to many generics ruin drums and developers. sometimes as quick as less than a 1/4 toner used

evidently he rushed into buying this printer WITHOUT calculating the COST of operation .. I blame a narrow sighted user and the fucking saleman that DIDN'T go into cost of operating the damn thing.

how long have you had this printer. did you buy new or used. it can be as old as 11yrs. if you still have original toners in it.....wow

Buying a new printer will be cheaper than buying a set of toners and will serve it again for 10 years...

Same as in CZ....although 5100DN is out of Warranty, but Generic toner is waste of money... kills the machine

The parts have their own warranty from installation on.

here is the states use of 3rd party toner/parts on a machine under warranty will void the warranty and in certain companies will void ANY/ALL service contracts.

again I will state, anyone that doesn't factor in the cost of toners/supplies/paper* into the TOTAL cost of a machine is really rather stupid IMHO.

It's like buying a car and not factoring in the cost of: Gas-Tires-Oil-Belts etc.

*CHEAP Paper can also clog-damage parts.

Sales people make all kind of ridiculous promises to make the sale and then the copier tech has to explain the machine can't do half the stuff that was promised. And that's an uncomfortable conversation because you both work for the same company.

I have never had any problem calling out a lying salesman. It irked some bosses also.. puts a bad taste in the customers mouth finding out the salesman lied to them.
Have even lost a contract ( state college ) because of that.. that was the last time THAT salesguy worked for us. They are only in it for the money, didn't really give a rats ass if it would affect the over all company in the least.

Salesperson making ridiculous claims and leaving a tech to answer questions from the client... lmao, "NEVER." My response, when asked about a ridiculous promises " Not that I know of? Hold on, the best way to get a hold of your salesperson is by their cell phone, so they can explain it to you directly."

When I would hear back from the salespeople about not giving out their cell #, my response, " I will stop giving out your cell # once you stop writing checks your ass can't cash and I am stuck in the middle."
