Never heard of UTAX. From what I gather, they're putting their name on a Kyocera machine? In any event, it's probablly the chip. I'd probably just use Kyocera toner for for that machine.

Most likely RIDF sensor some-where on the toner
Dont think it's anything you can do to fix
      Buy the correct toner

There is probably a sim in engineering mode to change this but Kyocera will NEVER release the information to let you do it.
To prevent dealers from doing what your doing.

        Re: Kyocera 2552

On earlier machines you needed to set the destination (badge) for Utax, rather than Gestetner or Monroe or Copystar or Kyocera.

On these same earlier machines destination was at U265
        Setting:
        Copystar 66
        Kyocera Mita 2
        Utax 11
        Olivetti 12

No guarantees that this information is correct on recent machines.

Keep in mind that you'll need to change print drivers. The encryption code for used for Kyocera is different than the other destinations. Many of the driver features will not be available is the destination does not match the manufacturer driver.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

          No way !!
Change from U265 is not enough.
You need other sub pwbs with SN from TA/ UTAX.
          e.g.
Taskalfa 2552 SN starts with W35xxxxx for KDE systems, with VPNxxxx for Philcopy, R5R for Olivetti .......
UTAX 2506ci SN starts with VFZ/ VFLxxxxx
Depended to first 3 digits system knows exactly the sales company and you can`t use toner from other sales company.

New sub pwbs you can`t order!

          By the way,
UTAX is a trademark from TA Triumph-Adler. System sale only by dealers, no direct sale.
TA Triumph-Adler, direct sale company + distribution, 100% Kyocera Group Company

Hi, it is too long ago... We buy toner for Kyocera and try insert to Olivetti relabeled from KM-3035... Not possible - other gears
I think it is in their business interest - not to allow it in different ways. Chip and their location, locks, teeth, gears ...

KyoceraMita made machines for Olivetti at one time Genius

KyoceraMita also bought color machines from Konica at one time
