    [Misc] Help on DEV unit

    Hi guys,

We are Sharp dealers but we have been endorsed to service many Kyocera MF 5002 (Olivetti Branded).
We are noticing that, very often DV Unit(around 140.000 pages) is going crazy with partial white copies.
Sometimes re-arming button will work, sometimes not, and we need to swap DV Unit. But we are almost sure that developer is still ok. (yeld 600.000 pages???)

Technical manager from our supplier do not have a solution for that, so I am asking to you.

Is that possibile to force re-arming of dev unit without swapping it?
Or there is other solutions or tech tips to solve?.

    Thank you with this.

    Re: Help on DEV unit

The 02 series came out with a updated DV unit so the button does not pop out. Sometimes I will take the spring off DV unit to stop that issue. Just remember if you do that you must take drum and DV unit out the same time otherwise you will damage drum. Updated DV units seem to work much better.

are you using original or compatible toner? When you have a bit poor prints you can clean the developer from the operator menu. If you replace with a new development unit you must follow the instructions in the leaflet inside the package.

Toner is supplied by Olivetti directly so, it's original.
I will check Dev Cleaning. Is a good note.

        Thank you so much.

We stick a piece of sticky thick mylad behind the grey slide lock. Good to go no DV unit replacement.
