In past i tried to duplicate several screen failures on our Jupiter II system, but Tomcat II, III, Venus, Gaia, Mercury + Zeus ranges has same controlling.

system needs HDD and 1 GB ASIC memory for communication between main board and operation panel.
In most cases, our technicians exchanged HDD and systems worked well again.
You can use used HDD and/ or 1GB memory dimm from other system.
In normal case system will start FW upgrade with other HDD mounted..

ok sir but can you be more specific and tell me what is the type of hdd, i mean is it normal sata drive or sed drive and is the firmware is located in hdd that will used to communicate between main board and the operation pane? well in toshiba they have used a sed drive that holds the firmware of machine, is kyocera have similar case? because i have task alfa 5500i the panel is dead but machine take rotation and the scanner comes to home position the operation panel is blank, is there is something you can help me with this. thanks in advance

for Gaia range (5500i, 5501i)
1. normal Hitachi or WD SATA 160/ 320GB drive, no FW stored on HDD
2. no SSD available
3. Main FW + Panel FW stored on Code Dimm (Main PWB upper slot)

4. Drive would started and controlled from engine PWB / own FW stored on engine PWB
Systemm is creating 7 or 8 partions on HDD, 1 partion/ cluster inside used for internal communications.

We have had several cases with F000, blank or black screen, coming from broken code dimm FW.
If it`s related to memory, you also get red LED warning.

Maybe we can recover your system by another way.
Look for the attachment,

Wow that was really informative and helpful, and bundles of thanks for this information i will try to do the same but in this whole process the only thing that is missing from me is the Fw of this model, i don't have that, if you have it can you share it??
