    Many errors on TASKalfa 4052ci

    Hi Guys,

I'm having trouble with a TASKalfa 4052ci. Printer is working well, or at least, until doesn't trow an error code.

All is started in June and after many visit to customer I swapped the machine with another one.
Customer is finally happy but I'm not because I have to repair the broken MFP.

All errors refers to eeprom. Different codes but always to eeprom.
    See picture in attachment.

    I've already:
    • Update firmware with the latest (see status page)
    • Replaced 302ND94270 Feed Image PWB
    • Replaced 302ND94070 Drum/Developer Relay PWB

Another strange thing I see is toner levels. Unfortunately on the status page they are all visible but usually one or two doesn't display.
Like if you have non OEM toner.

MFP has original toner inside and always used OEM toner in the life of machine.

So, back to us: please help me.
I don't want to scrap a machine with 2 year of life.

    Thank you in advance,
    Kyove

Wow! lots of errors for sure! I would be looking at engine PWB to start that.

I've seen unstable power at the wall outlet cause an array of fault codes. I've also seen a dirty power supply board @ machine cause all kind of crazy error codes. And when I say "dirty" power supply, I mean the voltage isn't stable.

for me it looks like shortcut on serial datastream.
Have had nearby similar case coming from broken pin on BK DV connector, but also can be other DV, TR, FK or DK connector.
All these parts are connected to feed image pwb. Reconnecting from all connectors on feed image pwb recommended.

              Hi Billy,

When you say the "power supply board", do you mean

302ND94630 - PARTS UNIT HIGH VOLTAGE MAIN SP
              or
302ND94621 - PARTS UNIT LOW VOLTAGE 200 SP

              Thank you in advance,

I was talking about the low voltage PWB. However, I've seen high voltage arc's cause false error codes. Any type of voltage spikes can cause strange and erratic error codes.

Did you try reseating all the connectors?

Turn machine off, unplug from the wall. Remove drums, developing units.

Turn machine back on, let it code out. Turn off, unplug from wall.

                  Reassemble.
