Re: Kyocera 3501i uneven density on prints
Looking at the skyshot, the blacks are washed out and there are void areas all over the page. Since you installed new DV and DR, I think i would make sure that there's good electrical contact on the DV unit. If you're losing voltage to the DV unit that's what I'd expect to see on skyshot. Also, check electrical connection @ PCR.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Kyocera 3501i uneven density on prints
MK would installed 1,5 month ago.
Current discussion now for transfer only, but if you check the repetive gauge description you`ll find sleeve roller also!
I have heard from broken distance pulleys on sleeve roller from DV on color systems 30ppm + 35ppm systems only.
Pulley material would changed, same as >35ppm models.
DV would shaked only, not exchanged again. I am right?
Let`s try other DV unit at next step.Comment

Re: Kyocera 3501i uneven density on prints
Well here is the solution
Colleague of mine showed me bulletin 2NJ-0006
So out i went and measured the cap between transfer belt. It was like 16mm
Scraped the old stickers off and placed new stickers - problem solved.
So this image problem was caused by transfer belt skew.Comment

Re: Kyocera 3501i uneven density on prints
Thanks for posting the solution, but can someone help me figure out how I would have found the service bulletin on my own? Searching Kyo website for the 3501i doesn't bring up any results in the service bulletin category so I'm wondering how I would have gone about finding it. I do have Kyo access I just want to be able to find and review these bulletins before starting future threads on a potentially known issue. Sorry if that's a fairly newbie question but you guys are kind of my primary learning source right now. Thanks in advance.
Back when I worked for an authorized dealer, our service manager would put every tech bulletin in our box when they came out...this was before email. And generally we would discuss these during our weekly service meeting. Maybe just print out all the tech bulletins and get familiar with them?Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Kyocera 3501i uneven density on prints
I'm not opposed to that, and I do archive all of the emails I get from kyo so most should go through there. But in this instance with an older machine where I'm assuming the bulletin was out before I started getting the emails I was trying to find a good way to lookup older ones for situations like this. I do have a data dump from another kyo tech so it might be in there, I am just trying to find out if there's a 'correct' way to hunt them down on a machine to machine basis. Or if nothing else if someone can say for sure that searching their site is the way to do it and them not having them listed is just a sad day for me.
I see what you're talking about. I don't have a good answer for that short of going back thru every old tech bulletin and organizing them in your own system.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Thanks anyways, if anyone else comes across this exchange and has a better answer please PM me.
It's probably time to let the thread die.Comment

Re: Kyocera 3501i uneven density on prints
After DEV unit replace we need to run:
DV: U464, 410
Why we need to run these modes? What will happened if I don't run that modes?
My Firmware version is 2N9_2000.004.202 2015.01.16, What is new Firmware version and what will bring me as right now printer work well except premature dev section end.Comment
