Hi all i changed a toner in machine it was working fine before and tested all good after 50 copies the pages went black all over with the image there even the leading edge is solid black so i replaced the charge roller checked dev unit 300k copies got it going next day same thing i did notice the dev unit running on after the machine stopped copying its supplying toner ok change dev unit with a used one lasted a day any ideas thanks when the dev unit was running on it wasnt adding toner

I'm not sure I follow you but from what I understand you have swapped developing units (300k) and still have black copies. Have you run internal prints? I am assuming OEM toner? I would make sure your process unit is grounded by using grease on the drum shaft. Sounds like an electrical issue to me. Also, TA-5500i -

Any time the machine makes solid black copies & prints, the developing unit will struggle to tone up the developer ("running on")
Fix the black copies and the running on will stop. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
