[Misc] TA 3500 Paper Curling in exit tray and bunching up...

Hello, Occasionally the paper is curling in exit tray and bunching up. (I have been a tech for 25 or so years) I told the customer that is the paper that has collected moisture over time. I said to maby change the paper would help. They tried Hammermill and it does the same thing (Also, The copier has a new fuser). Is there anything I can do to help this customer. I just assume that they are in a high humidity area. Thanks so much for any help !!

Did you verify that the customer opened a fresh ream of paper or did they just tell you this? It's not that I don't trust the customer...I don't trust anyone.

Change the orientation. Gonna assume it's 8.5x11 LEF, so change it to SEF. If that's the paper they want to run sometimes that's all you can do

Perhaps try to adjust the paper weights for plain to the lightest value which still still yield reliable fusing. this will apply the least amount of heat and therefore less curling of moist paper...

Doing the opposite might also work by driving the moisture completely out.

Did you turn on the paper tray heaters?

Valuable advices received. I would only add not knowing Kyo but in KonMin you can actually adjust fuser temperature helps in preventing paper curl.

The same applies to Kyocera. The fusing temperature for Alphard toner is quite low, so you've got some wiggle room. The best way to do it is not in simulation, it's to change the temp value (normal1, normal2, normal3, thick1, etc.) for Plain media type.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Make sure all the filters are clean.
