    Dumb Question?

    I keep hearing folks use these terms when discussing Kyocera:

    Venius series. Jupiter and some others that slip my mind? I'm fairly certain that this pertains to a group of copiers but is there a list or something? I'd like to know what the hell y'all are talking about. lol

      Kyocera IE Mita Engineering Code names for models

      Falcon etc....

          An Alphard Venus is KM-3050ci, KM-3550ci, KM-4550ci, KM-5550ci.

          Each manufacturer assigns a "build name" or series name.
          Toshiba likes mountains and rivers.
          Sharp likes animals
          Kyocera is all over the place.

          I have a very incomplete list that I bring out now and again. When I'm lucky I can get a person who's been to class to add to my list.

          If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

              You just answered one of life's great mysteries for me. I wanted to ask long ago but didn't want to sound like an idiot. lol
