Re: Kyocera 3551ci cyan bands
Just a quick follow up:
I went back to this account last week and whatever was causing the cyan bands, the problem is now gone. I ran off several test prints on arrival and no signs of the problem. I then pulled out the cyan DV just to make sure there was no problem with the DV roller locking up or being hard to turn. No problem found. Hopefully the problem doesn't come back.Last edited by BillyCarpenter; 02-14-2021, 02:54 PM.Adversity temporarily visits a strong man but stays with the weak for a lifetime.Comment

Re: Kyocera 3551ci cyan bands
Agree. On machines with extremely low color usage a developer refresh (or two) can bring back the density. BUT ... if it's not improved, do not run it a third or fourth time consecutively. I've seen it go from slightly undertoned to massively overtoned on the third or fourth refresh, guaranteeing the need to change out the developing unit. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

I don't know if this will help but in every Kyocera manual there is a page in the Appendix called 'Repetitive defects gauge'. It's different for every model. I have attached the one for the xxx1ci model.Attached FilesComment
