[Jamming] ECOSYS M6026cdn ADF duplex scan constantly jams on second side

Hi,

I have a ECOSYS M6026cdn which will scan multiple pages single sided from the ADF without issue.

However, requesting duplex scan results in a jam as the paper is returned from the switchback tray.

It looks as if the paper is not being fed squarely by the rollers.

Is there a recommended way to clean the switchback pulley and roller?

The machine has only had light home use.

Can anyone supply the latest firmware for this device?

It will take some disassembly to get to them ... but I would use an orange oil based cleaner on those rollers. I doubt very much that you could accumulate much wear on a home-use machine.

Before you do though ... open the top cover. Insert a heavy mylar report cover 8 1/2" x 11" into the paper path toward the slit glass, and roll it through. You might get a nice surprise, like a small scrap of paper blocking the duplex path, in a place you cannot see. This has worked for me in a number of situations where the paper path is mostly inaccessible.

Cardstock would also work if you can't find a report cover. =^..^=
