Re: 6501i - Gray background after 4 or more
Is the registration roller cleaner picking up a lot of toner? Is the developer duct blocked with toner? The ducts gradually become completely blocked with toner.
My suggestion is to remove the developing unit, and apply your vacuum cleaner nozzle to back end. Remove the fan box and apply your vacuum nozzle to the duct through hole in the back cover. CAREFULLY open up the fan box and vacuum out the ton of toner inside and the filters.

I'd really like to see samples, but this is my best guess based on ... experience, I guess. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Damn!!! I completely forgot about the developer ducts and the fan box. I knew there was a reason I was putting the vac all over the place.
Here is the picture sent to the office. The paper is being run letter speed, not R.Attached FilesComment

New developing unit ... if the vacuuming doesn't help. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
