    KYOCERA ECOSYS M5526CDN

I was under firm impression that Kyocera are great machines but this one stumped me a bit.
Fairly new machine with 2 strikes on images. It was obvious immediately that those two lines are coming from transfer belt. Upon disassembly I found belt cleaning section packed with toner up to the cleaning blade and waste toner screw conveing gear completely refusing to do its job. Kyo techs maybe know but this whole section looks like a joke so tiny and flimsy with spring on other(exit) end which is supposed to clear waste path through chute, btw another joke as spring wears down the coveing screw plastic end and stop doing what is supposed to do and then waste toner starts to pack from the chute to the other end.
The point is you cannot purchase separate parts for this section as it is part of whole TB unit.
What they've been thinking with this design is beyond me and the only reason outside bad design is the fact this machine is totally unknown for me and I'm not sure how OEM toners should looks like.
Any thoughts on that Kyo guys? Is there improved TBU or new ones are same sh.t?

I only sell the Taskalfas and have never worked on the ECOSYS series. I did get an ECOSYS on trade in and hauled it to the dump but it looked cheaply built. What's everyone's opinion on the difference between the two?

If you work on Taskalfas you have worked on a Ecosys! In some parts manuals they include a conversion list, it lists how to order the correct badging of the unit, there is no difference in the units or the parts used to construct the unit. It has been that way for years going back to the MITA / Copystar days.

Thanks a lot for this bulletin. So exactly what I thought spring is the problem and they only modified it in new TB units.
              Have a great day Ropariva!
