    KM3035 Poor blacks/light copy!

I've been selling quit a few of the 3035 copiers. Several don't have very good blacks on the copy. I've cleaned the charger and transfer roller and "cleaned up" the developing section. I've used the keyboard to run "auto exposure" to dark position #3. But I can't find a 10871087 sim to darken it up even more.
    Can you help?

    Light copy

The Falcon I & II have a small pot on the drum unit at the rear on top, to increase the black fill, turn the pot counterclockwise this will give you better fill. The sim for the MC adjustment is 100 and you would decrease3 the number.

    Good luck,

I would do the pot adjustment first

So MMECHURA this pot is on the drum unit itself, backside top? Damn learn something new every day if your not careful............ By the way with these models in Florida the fill is pretty much always light due to humidity and sucking out the DV unit and reloading it is normally the fix! Gotta go locate the pot mentioned earlier and give that a shot also.

What kinda copy count you got on that unit? The mag roller sleeves don't last forever and you will see the dv getting really light on the roller.

And that means put a new one in and run 130.

          K? K.

Yeah I just didn't know how much volume is on that machine and if it's 400 an above they might as well PM it and that should get it.

I'm going to go try "all that jazz" today!
I bought several of these KM3035 copiers and got some generic toner cartridges with them. Any problem using the "generic" to "Redevelop" the dev. section or have "generic" cartridges been trouble?
Hate to toss them, I got 3 new ones with the last two units I picked up!

Does the manual show how to redevelop? Do you just use toner/how much, (my first experience with monocomponent toner machines since the old "Olympus", Panoly) monocomponent electrostat)!

There's a very good chance that those generic toners were causing the light copy problems.

Get some genuine Kyocera toner, empty the dev units, and run sim U130 to fill up the dev units again (it just uses toner).

I'd say the toner in those cartridges are useless, but you could always empty the toner containers and use the container as a tester for toner feed (if the copier says "Image Cycle" or "Adding toner" forever and ever).

Of course if it has gone awhile I have seen it take BOTH drum and developer to clear this up.

Once again may just need to have a good PM all around.

                      KM3035 Poor blacks/light copy!

Did you try to go to F mode and changed Text+Photo to be only Text mode.
Also check the Laser Unit to see if need to be clean.
