Re: TA 2552ci has C7001 error
We brought this machine in because the professionally challenging customer was tired of the clicking noise the machine was making. They instead of us bringing out a loaner while we solved the problem with the machine. So, when the machine arrived, I removed the back so it would be easier to find the clicking noise. After removing the back, I switched the machine on and it went right to c7001.
I took the drive unit out and put the vac on the waste toner areas. I have had the Toner Supply Drive Unit out and vacuumed it out till I got it as clean as I could. Put it all back together and still C7001.
Kyocera support hasn’t too much help. They have only suggested doing what I have already done.
Not sure what I’m missing here. Any help would be great.
And as always, thanks in advance.Regards Mark

Re: TA 2552ci has C7001 error
C7001 refers to a toner container locked up and not rotating. It shouldn't have anything having to do with the waste toner system.
If you are able to, run U030 container mix motor, you might hear the clicking noise.
There is a bulletin relating to the cartridge drive, I will post it if I can find it. You may even have a problem one of toner cartridges.Last edited by nathicana; 04-30-2021, 08:53 PM.Comment

KM-5052ci, "Add Black Toner" when images are over 5% fill
Maybe something like this? =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Re: TA 2552ci has C7001 error
use a magnet to trigger and remove the toner container solenoid connection cover(black cover to the right of the black toner). reach inside there and operate the toner door lever which will open all the doors.
press the main front cover button to simulate the door being closed, power-on the machine and observe the containers rotating. Maybe you'll see one that doesn't turn and can investigate the drive system accordingly.Comment

Re: TA 2552ci has C7001 error
Turn machine off, unplug. Allow all capacitors to bleed down. Open front door, plug in, turn on and start entering service code until it enters service mode. Close front door and run maintenance modes.Comment
