NEVER have seen this with oem toner. Have seen this a lot with compatible toners. You said that you changed the DV unit and used oem toner, did the customer then install a compatible toner? The only reason you get the gray band on the back side of the page is due to the toner that is currently in the DV unit and the toner being fed from the new cartridge are not the same! This causes the in-compatible toner to drop off the mag roller on to the transfer roller contaminating it that transfers to the back side of the page. Using just OEM toner you would not get this.

how long does oem toner last?

my bet the DA customer put another turd party toner in...CHARGE THEM... clear all turd party toners out of office next time do no more service for them.

I hope someone else knows exactly never had to do it but I think the event log shows you the last 10 toners inserted and flags up compat toners. I'd print that and be like sorry pal good try but I won't be helping you.

you are located in torino/ italy and you wrote "UTAX" toner
Did you asked UI Innovations/ UTAX italy for further assistance?
              Maybe they can help you.
Don`t forget to send claim with complete reports to UI.

Re: Utax 3261i gray band in the back of the sheet

you wrote that it needs 40K to come back after assembling from new DV, DK + TR.
2 other systems with same issue after approx 80K
If you use the old units in other system, you get same issue in this system.
I don`t know what happens, but something must "destroy" DV Powder.
What happens if you use parts from old system in the other system step by step?
Don`t forget to store U000/ Maintenance report each time after replacement. (U000 --> stored as *.txt file on USB)
Now you can compare the values between before and after
Maybe by this way you can find what`s going wrong.

Do you get same problem if you switch off U100/ Set AC Auto Adj.?
If you switch off, system is working with initial values instead of calculated values
(Maybe wrong calculation for needed voltages)

With collected U000 data, i think UI will ask UTAX Germany for additional help.
