Thank you Dark Helmet. I tried to run U030 and watch the sensors change states but I couldn't seem to find a way to do that. I see that U030 is all about running the different motors. It would be helpful if I could get a little more detail on how to run U030 and see the switches working.

I have exactly the same issue on 2 Devices and its maddening. I have changed both the engine and Main Board with no luck. Next will be the complete drive unit followed by the waste Assembly. I'm sure if I change enough parts I'll find this GremlinComment

I have a similar issue with a current gen machine 2554ci. Jamming on duplex only.
Is it only happening from one tray? Have you changed the Duplex and Cass timings in U034 for Start Position to see if it makes any difference? I originally thought as you did that it was an exit section issue but I managed to narrow it down to Tray 1 only, MP and T2 both wokring perfectly. This also rules out registration and fuser issues too. Does your machine make a weird "honk" / "squeal" when the jam occurs?
I have narrowed mine down to Tray 1 Drive Clutch failure and I have a new drive unit on its way to me. I have been monitoring the device through KFS and since I asked the customer to stop using T1 the jams have stopped completely.
The noise I was hearing was the clutch slipping when main drive is engaged and the tray always had ~5mm of the lead edge of paper fed out when the jam happened.Attached FilesComment

I see no where that you have tried another fuser. I have had a TA2554ci do something similar.
What can happen is that one sheet of paper can catch up to the sheet in front of it, this can cause the copier to think there is a jam.
Only thought it might be a fuser as there was always a sheet of paper in the fuser when it jammed. The fuser appeared fine, couldn't see anything wrong with it.
It must have been slowing things enough on duplex to cause this to happen.

Thank you Slammers for the information. I have not tried swapping feed units. I will give that a shot and let y'all know the results.
Thank you kyotechnz for your interest. One of the first things I tried was a different fuser unit when I tried a different exit unit. I didn't realize I didn't mention it. Good catch.
Recently I tried a different engine PWB with no joy. While I had the different engine PWB in in the machine, I also tried the image PWB from the same source machine also with no joy.
This is getting tiresome.Comment

I will be installing this next week. I will let you know if it solves the duplex jam. Fingers crossed.👍 1Comment

I would try swapping feeds on your machine to see if that is also your issue.
Cheers.👍 1Comment
