    TA7002i Scanning mixed originals

I have 2 of these machines in a Title company office. Of course with this type of business, there is always letter and legal. I'm trying to scan to desktop both letter and legal. I can used mixed copy mode and print letter/legal but this does not work when scanning. I spoke to a Kyocera tech support rep and he didn't know either. I have read the post on the TA8001i but the 7002i appears to have a different setup in web interface. Any help in this are will be greatly appreciated.

Under scanning you be able to select the mixed original and save as a shortcut.

Under user defaults you should be able to select as the default if you wish but if will slow down the adf if paper sizes are all the same.

From the home screen select "Send".

At bottom of screen select: "Org/Sending Data Format"

      Next select "Mixed Size Originals."

But yes, keep in mind that the DP will run ~60% of full speed checking every original for size. The good news is that at the slower speed you'll have less original jams. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

The customer can also scan commonly used mixed originals to a job box and then print them out when needed. My customers like that.

I hope I understand the problem correctly.

I have several title companies I have setup to scan mixed originals and I use a program button. My usual default for the program button is: Mixed Originals = Same With; Original Orientation = Top Edge on Left; Scan Resolution = 300dpi; Color Selection = Black and White. I usually name the Program button Mixed Originals. When the customer presses it, it takes then to the Send Destination tab. They can then choose where it goes. I have found it dosn't matter if its going to an email address or a folder, the scanned pages arrive correctly.

Sometime these guys scan checks in the package and if the scan is set to color or auto color, the machine may see the check as currency. If they want color I teach them to press the Auto color button. Or make a shortcut for color under Send.

I have all my machines out in the field set to to Skip Blank Pages (Send/ Store). That feature is very handy for the customer.

            I hope this helps.
