Anyone have any input here, as to why when you setup U402 lead and trail edge voids, that show in copy and test print modes, why when printing, these voids just disappear, causing fuser wrap's on full colour printing ie A4 poster flyers, paper is Navigator 80gsm and 'Auto print setup' is done in U415, copy counts are 215k mono and 142k colour

That baffles me too. I have to go to U034 and add at least +1 to shift the entire image away from the lead edge. -
I wasn't going to mention U034 in the 1st thread, as just wanted to see what response I got, so Thanks for input here...It was the only way we've got it to work, by moving over the print image on the page to give us 1-3mm of 'unprinted lead aera' but had to be careful, and not go too far so the trail edge image 'run off' losing data... not ideal but work around.. moving from zero to 1.5 on cass/mft and duplex seems to give about 3mm lead viod image.pngComment

Re: JAM 4201 TASKalfa 7353ci
I have had this problem to the point of insanity. I have found setting all the registrations, magnifications and margins helps very much. I will go in order: U034, U65, U66, U67, U70, U71, U72, U402, U403 and U404. Almost all of the time all of these are not accurate from the start and setting them properly, front and back, helps. HOWEVER, I have had situations when the print driver is incorrect and it will over ride the settings on the machine. The same thing can happen from certain applications. I have to wonder why there are settings on the machine if the driver or application can simply do whatever it wants whenever it wants. At that point you are either faced with tracking down each workstation and ensuring proper driver and that it is set up properly or turning it over to the network administrator for correction.
For what it is worth. I hope this helps.
I copied this from a response I posted in a topic started by Exodia-P4👍 2Comment

As you have discovered, the ONLY adjustment for lead edge void for a printed image (from driver or usb) is U34, Start position. Getting this right centralises the image on the page and eliminates fuser wraps entirely. The trick is that you can’t use the inbuilt test print as that gives you an entirely false indication and your adjustment will be wrong Create a PDF with a solid border and use this as a test print. You will get the same result whether printed from a PC or from USB. Do a print of this page (I keep this file on USB and we make this adjustment at run up) and measure the lead edge void against the trail edge . 99% of machines in the field and at run up are significantly out. We find that setting a value of between +0.7 and +1.1 for all the items will get you in the ballpark.
NOTE:. Every machine I have run up has needed this adjusted. Every machine we had in the field required this adjustment. We have totally eliminated fuser wraps on our base!
Kyocera head office refuses to acknowledge their adjustment process (as per the manual and test print) is wrong. Every other adjustment for print position is for copy off the glass or ADF. Every tech I know struggled with this adjustment, including myself. I hope this has helped anyone with fuser wrapsYou do not have permission to view this gallery.

Ive been having to increase all my 7003 machines in U34 to stop fuser wraps. We sent a bunch out to schools and bumping them up 1mm has helped alot.
As posted above, all the other adjustments don't do anything for printing. We created a grey box with a white center to test this. We cranked the edge voids/margins and copied said box. It cut off a ton of the box. We then reprinted the box. It came out the same as before with no margins cut off.Evil will always triumph because good is dumb.👍 2Comment
