Kyocera M5526 with black smearing in vertical direction

we have a M5526 Kyo which has black 1 inch wide smearing, spots in vertical direction but not on all pages.
I did the drum refreshment function then some pages where ok than stripes again. Do I have to replace the drum then and
the DV Box or what else can I do. But I guess changing drum does not pay.

Sounds the transfer belt cleaning unit. We usually just clean it out and check the passage in the drum unit....It's too bad those cleaning units aren't available separately....

The drums on this series are awful. If it magically isn't the black drum, it's the transfer. Shame it's not under warranty anymore, Kyocera always accepts those if you do the proper paperwork.

Hello, I had 3 of the units delivered and installed them last year and have not received any negative feedback from customers so far. However, it must be said that customers only use these devices in their home office and create around 5-8,000 pages a year. But as I said, no negative feedback from customers and the devices are currently in use.
